SSC Combined Recruitment for Assistant Grade III in FCI – 2013: Pattern of the Examination

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notification for Combined Recruitment to Category III in the FCI – 2013. SSC will conduct a written examination for the posts, on behalf of FCI under special dispensation given by the Government, on 11 November2012.

The written exam for Post Codes A, B and D will consist of two papers -- Paper-I and Paper-II (200 marks each). Both the papers will be of Higher Secondary or 10th level.

Candidates applying for Post Code C will have to appear in Paper-I and Paper-III (also of 200 marks). Paper III will, however, be of degree or graduation level.

All question papers will have Objective Type Multiple Choice questions. Candidates will answer these questions on OMR answer sheets provided by the Commission. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in all Objective Type Multiple Choice Question Papers.

While Paper-I will be held on 11November 2012, Paper-II and paper III are tentatively scheduled for 6 January 2013. On the basis of their performance in Paper I, those candidates would be shortlisted whose paper II/paper III, as the case may be, will be evaluated.

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Paper-I and Paper-II/ Paper-III will appear for the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). Only those candidates who qualify in the CPT will be eligible to be considered for final selection.
Final selection will be done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in Paper I and Paper II for Post Codes A, B and D, and Paper I and Paper III for Post Code C.
