IBPS conducts Written Exam (CWE) 2012 for Clerical Cadre
IBPS, an autonomous body, has been authorised by the IBA and has received mandates from 19 Public Sector Banks to conduct the recruitment of Clerical Cadre posts twice in a year for their requirements.
A Common Written Examination (CWE) will be conducted tentatively in December 2012. by the IBPS as a pre-requisites for selection of personnel for Clerical Cadre posts in the following 20 Public Sector Banks (Some other private banks are also accepting IBPS CWE Score card for their recruitment)
Allahabad Banks / Andhra Bank/ Bank of Baroda/ Bank of India/ Bank of Maharashtra/ Canara Bank/ Central Bank of India/ Corporation Bank/ Dena Bank/ IDBI Bank/ Indian Bank/ Indian Overseas Bank/ Oriental Bank of Commerce/ Punjab National Bank/ Punjab & Sind Bank/ Syndicate Bank/ Union Bank of India/ United Bank of India/ UCO Bank/ Vijaya Bank
Those will be successful in the Common Written Exam (CWE) will be given a scorecard (Like CAT exam of IIM) and may apply to any of the participating bank when they come up with their job vacancy and then these successful candidates have quote their personal details and their CWE scores.
Each of the bank will issue individual recruitment notifications, details of  vacancies, eligibility criteria etc. separately.
Clerical posts :
Age : 20-28  years as on 01/10/2012, age relaxation as per rules for SC/ST/OBC/ PWDs/ Ex.-SM
Qualification : Degree in any discipline or any equivalent qualification  and Computer literacy : Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/ Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/ College/ Institute. Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how toread/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies acandidate wishes to apply is preferable.
Application Fee : Rs. 400/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) can be paid online at the time of filling the application form online through Online Payment Gateways of the Banks/ Credit Card  OR through NEFT OR to be deposited in CBS branches of 6  bank out of 19 bank (for fee details please see detailed advertisement carefully before payment) . Keep the details/receipts of the fee submission safely as it is to be shown at the time of written test.
How to Apply  :  Candidates need to apply Online scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph andsignature adhere to the required specifications as given in Annexure II to thisAdvertisement.Keep the necessary details/documents ready if desired to make online paymentof the requisite application fee/ intimation charges (In case of Offline Paymenti.e. CBS candidates have to apply online, obtain a fee payment challan and thenremit the necessary application fees/ intimation charges). have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration ofresults of this round of CWE. IBPS may send call letters Examination etc.through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, a candidate shouldshare with/mention e-mail ID to / of any other person. In case a candidate doesnot have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail IDbefore applying on-line and must maintain that email account.
General Instructions:
(1) Candidates will have to submit the examination call letter and a photocopy ofphoto-identity proof at the time of examination.
(2) Before applying for the CWE for Clerk posts in the participating Public Sector Banks,the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentionedin this advertisement. Candidates are therefore to carefully read this advertisement andfollow all the instructions given for submitting online application.
(3) IBPS would be free to reject any application, at any stage of the process, if the candidateis found ineligible as per the stipulated eligibility criteria. Decision of the IBPS in allmatters regarding eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny ofeligibility is to be undertaken, qualifications and other eligibility norms, the documentsto be produced for the purpose of the conduct of Examination etc.
(4) Not more than one application should be submitted by any candidate. MultipleApplications/Registrations will be summarily rejected and the application fee forfeited.
(5) Online applications once registered will not be allowed to be withdrawn and/or theapplication fee, postage charges once paid will not be refunded nor be held in reserve forany other examination.
(6) Any resulting dispute arising out of this advertisement including the recruitmentprocess shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the Courts situated at Mumbai.
(7) Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
(8) In case it is detected at any stage that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility normsand/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information/certificate/documents orhas suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any ofthese shortcomings is/are detected after appointment in a Bank, his/her services areliable to be summarily terminated.
(9) Any request for change of address will not be entertained.
(10) In case any dispute arises on account of interpretation of clauses in any version of thisadvertisement other than English, the English version available on IBPS website shallprevail.
(11) A Candidate’s admission to the examination is strictly provisional. The mere fact thatthe call letter has been issued to the candidate does not imply that his/ her candidaturehas been finally cleared by the IBPS.
(12) A candidate should ensure that the signatures appended by him/her in all the places viz.in his/her call letter, attendance sheet etc. and in all correspondences with the IBPS/Bank in future should be identical
